The YE0231 is designed for checking the frequency response of HDTV cameras.
The test chart shows vertical lines over the whole image area ranging from 100 to 1200 lines.The bars on the left and right sides of the picture (3 black and white cycles on the left and two on the right side) have a frequency of 50 lines and serve as references.
Below the line rasters (in the black surrounding area) there are line markings with the respective line figures. In addition to this markings there is a visible gap in the sweep to give a better distinction in oscilloscope.
The width of the line rasters decreases step by step, however not within the reference cycles. The frequency increases by 3.5 lines at each step.
Above the line rasters in the black surrounding area there are additional markings in MHz. The MHz are related to the 1080 system.
With the help of an oscilloscope the frequency response of a camera can be checked.
